Born in 1986, Sushant had a normal childhood like all boys from middle income families of a Govt employee as father KK Singh was an Engineer in Govt Dept in Patna Bihar. Perhaps he was doted upon by parents and sisters as he was the youngest and only brother. in other words he was probably a bit spoilt.
Sushants sister Neetu Singh aka Ranidi is supposed to be a doctor, Sister Priyanka Singh and her husband Siddharth are both Supreme Court Lawyers in Delhi, Meetu Singh was a State level Cricketer in Bihar and Shweta Singh was a designer married & settled in USA. Meaning all sisters were reasonably well educated and they all wanted their youngest brother to do well in life and so did the father.
When Sushants mother died in 2002 of a stroke, when he was just 16 he was devastated as he was very attached to his mother. Father was also nearing retirement. so the family moved to Delhi so he could attend a better school ( Sister Priyankas influence as she was supreme court lawyer living in Delhi).
Sushant has won the Olympiad in Physics and wanted to be an astranaut or at least a Pilot. Such things don't work in Indian Families. Family decides what you study ( as happened to me at IITM. I wanted to study Electronics but my father forced me to accept Civil Engg at my interview and I hated studies having been a topper at school).
SSRs Motivational speech tells us a lot about SSR that we did not know. That he was spoil being the youngest that he was an introvert and that he could not talk, had stage fright and panic attacks
